Department of MSW
In the academic year of 2023, the Department of Social Work embarked on its journey at St. Joseph’s Academy of Research and Higher Education. With a modest beginning, the department currently comprises two dedicated educators and a pioneering batch of fourteen enthusiastic students.
Within this short span, the department offers two specialized streams: Medical and Psychiatric Social Work, and Community Development. These programs empower students with the skills and knowledge to make a meaningful impact on society.
Despite its nascent stage, the Department of Social Work has already made commendable strides. It actively participates in various social causes, such as commemorating Hiroshima Day, organizing rural camps, and providing valuable insights on World Suicide Prevention Day.
As it continues to grow and evolve, the Department of Social Work at St. Joseph’s Academy is poised to nurture a new generation of compassionate and skilled professionals dedicated to the betterment of our communities and the well-being of individuals in need.
